365 days later.

Exactly one year has passed since I first moved into One Central Park. I remember setting foot in my quaint but cosy apartment with just two boxes in hand filled with my personal belongings after leaving college. I could hardly believe that five years of my life fit into a mere two boxes. What felt like a very dark journey ahead - having to deal with being unemployed as well as being newly single meant that I really had nothing to lose in the greater scheme of things. I decided that moving out of college and starting a new chapter of my life couldn't have come at a better time.

Fast forward 365 days later - this humble space draped behind vines of crawling greenery is a space I hold so close to my heart as it evokes so many bittersweet memories for me. I look at my once empty bedroom - and smile when I realise how so much has changed over the course of a year. I'm proud to say that I am indeed employed now working a job I truly love and am dating one of my best friends from my Masters of Architecture degree. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason - and when the timing is right things will naturally fall into place.

Learning to be single gave me a chance to be selfish for once in my life and allowed me to really channel all my energy into my career, family and friends. I learnt the beauty of solitude and how beautiful little moments could be spent alone enjoying that cup of freshly brewed coffee and sleeping in till ridiculous hours on the weekend without a worry in the world. There is no better love than learning to love and put yourself first. Do you.

I decided when moving into my empty apartment that I would keep the interior of my home minimal with a few key pieces of furniture from Matt Blatt. I'm excited to give you a small tour through my home almost a year later after moving in and share just some of the reasons why I love living here.

I am usually the most productive when my work space is filled with lots of natural light away from all the noise pollution from the city. You'd think that living in the city would be loud and noisy, but behind these transparent walls I don't hear a thing.  I love working from behind these vertical hanging gardens and I always feel inspired to keep on creating new content.
