Happy year of the Rooster everybody! Decided to kick-start the new year with a flatlay that I got to curate for KITKAT with my new intern, Karen Lin - who might I add is an absolute genius. Not only is she one of the hardest working girls I've ever had the pleasure of mentoring - but she also has a great eye for detail.

I remember as if it were only yesterday when I decided to make a career swap from Architecture to Media - and I was so nervous in doing so. We were taught from a young age to be 'doctors, lawyers, accountants and bankers' and if you decided to step out of what was considered the norm, you were a disgrace to your family.

I grew up with little confidence. I was about a head shorter than all my other girl cousins and was never good at Mathematics or Science like the other kids in school. I dropped from first division Math to third division in year ten and had decided it was time to pursue my real passion which was Art. My mum would constantly remind me that it was okay to be good at Art, Drama, Design and English. She encouraged me to do me, and if I follow my heart all else would fall into place.

Fast forward almost eight years since having finished high school and I cannot thank my family enough for giving me the support to leave Architecture to pursue my love for media, styling, and photography. They've taught me that success isn't about how much money you earn, or how far up you climb up that corporate ladder - it's about staying true to yourself and being the best version of you.
