The day before our big day it was pouring. I was nervous as the entire ceremony and reception i’d planned with SB Events for the past year was outdoors. Our only other plan B if it rained was to hire out a marquee. As I watched it rain I prayed that the weather would get better and it sure did. Thanks to Aki’s Husband who named himself “Sunny Man,” he proceeded to do a prayer for us and when we woke up the following day the sun was out.
Our wedding had been postponed twice due to the pandemic. We had a small Chinese Tea ceremony to officiate our marriage but never got the opportunity to have a Western wedding with friends and family from abroad. When we saw the restrictions slowly lifting we decided to go ahead and locked in a date. Lauren from SB SB Events assisted us with planning the wedding and co-ordinated everything from Sydney. She flew in two weeks prior to our wedding to ensure the day would go smoothly.
So grateful to have had guests fly in from around the world. From Boston, San Diego, Sydney, Singapore, New York, Shanghai, Taipei, Tokyo and Paris. The day couldn't have gone any better. It was honestly worth the two year wait seeing all my best friends and family all in one space celebrating our marriage. Love truly unites and brings people together.
