Soneva Fushi

For our honeymoon Kevin and I checked into Soneva Fushi for two nights. We had done our fair share of research two months in advance and were beyond excited to come here post wedding! After flying into Malé we where driven to their lounge where we waited to board a sea plane (Manta Air) which was about a thirty five minute flight. The flight was so scenic and peaceful.

We flew over several other luscious islands and got to see various shades of blue and turquoise hues merge into one massive ocean body. We were stunned at the beauty of the Maldives. After the seaplane safely landed on the ocean we were transferred by boat to Soneva Fushi. During our boat ride we were served refreshing watermelon juices and cold hand towels. After 14 hours of air travel - nothing beats this combo!

We were given bags for our shoes and asked to put them inside and were told the island was a ‘no shoe’ policy which we thought was genius. What better way to connect with nature than to be completely barefoot during the entire trip? We were assigned a barefoot guardian named Anna, who took the utmost care of us during the entirety of our trip. Some highlights of the trip included snorkelling with sea turtles, unlimited access to the ice-cream and chocolate room which was open 24/7 and the waterslide!
