The Art of Coffee Drinking : Three Lessons Learnt

FOOD & DRINK

If you are a coffee lover like myself, you'd probably appreciate this post. I've been using the sleek Nespresso Essenza Mini for a while now (just over a month) and i've grown accustomed to looking forward to that first cup of freshly brewed coffee every morning. A great cup of coffee really helps me to kickstart my day before the busy day begins.

I normally take ten minutes before I start the day to make my coffee, I start it by choosing one of my favourite capsules which is the Rosabaya de Colombia. The Nespresso Rosabaya de Colombia is a mid-intensity blend which provides a beautiful, fruity undertone among the rich espresso flavours. It offers a creamy crema, and a full-bodied flavour reminiscent of fruit.

Over time i've come to love the convenience of this little machine. The fact that I can pop a capsule in, and with a push of a button to brew the cofee without having to visit my local corner cafe is truly a delight for me. This little Nespresso Essenza Mini really gives my cafΓ© a run for its money! I was lucky enough to have the chance to work with Nespresso again in conceptualising and creating some beautiful coffee related artworks below!

1. Appreciate the Crema

A well made espresso always has a good layer of crema - creama is the tan-coloured layer which is found at the top of your coffee, take note of the colour: the darker the crema, the more intense the coffee is likely to be. It's important to sniff it and stir it to help release strong aromas from your Nespresso Capsule.

02. Slurping Over Sipping

Allowing your coffee to aerate will help release the full body of flavours from the Nespresso coffee Capsule collection. Professionals hold a 'cupping spoon' to their lips, I normally opt for a regular spoon, or just slurp it quietly from the cup.

Attention to Recycling

Help make a change. Recycle a capsule! Nespresso Australia is committed to ensuring that they are part of a sustainable coffee economy. The good news is that their capsules are made of aluminium, which is infinitely recyclable. By returning my used capsuled I make use of the Nespresso nationwide recycling program.
