La Petite Colombe | Franschoek
Kevin and I did the reduced tasting menu as we were a little pressed on time given that we were flying out later that evening. We departed from the One and Only Cape Town and made our way to Leeu Estates for an intimate lunch. I was surprised that I managed to lock in a reservation a day before, as I had heard that the restaurant is almost always full. We got a 12 o’clock seating and arrived to a picturesque scene of mountains and beautiful garden sculptures.
Kevin and I ordered a Kola Tonic Lemonade to drink and enjoyed a lovely afternoon of food and conversation. If you ever have an afternoon to spare be sure to pay La Petite Colombe a visit, they won’t disappoint.

“A meal at La Petite Colombe restaurant is like doing the tango with a stranger. You enter the dance floor uncertain of what to expect, and when the music stops at the end, you are left breathless and speechless. And when words are not enough, only a hearty applause will do. I am clapping loudly right now..”
