One&Only Cape Town
Decided to surprise Kevin for his 30th birthday and booked a little weekend trip to Cape Town. It’s been a little while since we’ve been back so we were excited to get away from the hustle and bustle of Jo’burg.
The team at One&Only Cape Town were kind enough to organise the most special itinerary for us which included a two night stay, spa treatments, high tea as well as a romantic dinner for two at Nobu. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. We arrived in the evening and made our way to the hotel. After checking in a buggy drove us to our room where we unwinded over in-room dining as well as a hot, bubble bath.
The room was absolutely incredible, from the Charlotte Rhys amenities to a a massive walk in closet which opened up to an open plan bathroom to a beautiful, private balcony which overlooked a Marina as well as Table Mountain, we felt right at home.
Special thank you for having us! We can’t wait to come back again. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate Kevin.

Spa Time
We loved how the spa was located on a seperate island! Hidden amongst a green oasis of trees, we made our way inside to be greeted with a warm cup of tea.
The exclusive Spa Island features the most comprehensive and expansive spa in Cape Town. Surrounded by water and dense vegetation, the 1,000m2 One&Only Spa offers 12 treatment suites of which two have private wet areas for couples treatments. Two vitality pools complement the relaxation spaces, sauna and steam rooms, and a relaxation lounge offers snacks and beverages.
Kevin and I made full use of the relaxation lounge and had a quiet nap to wind down after our one hour treatment.
The Art of Afternoon High Tea
Kevin and I entered the wonderfully spacious lounge bar area where High Tea is served. We were astounded by the service and were lucky enough to have one of the best tables in the house, with the most incredible view of the canal and Table Mountain.
There was a perfect mix of savoury and sweet desserts and pastries which were served. From the tasty buttermilk scones to the gold leaf éclairs, pastel macarons and individual cakes. Kevin and I were left in awe.
