I have always been a massive coffee lover. In fact, I can't seem to go a day without at least two large, brewing cups of black coffee. My daily routine normally involves a standard order of a long black with one brown sugar from my corner café - however with the launch of Nespresso's smallest mini machine catered to the millennial, I can now be my own barista at home!

The Essenza Mini is Nespresso's smallest and most stylish machine to date in my opinion. I love the fact that it conveniently brings my normal café quality coffee home. When approached by Nespresso to entertain guests in my dearest home it was simply an offer I couldn't quite refuse. I decided to host a sleepover and beautiful brunch spread with a few of my best girlfriends this weekend.

With a beautiful assortment of the most delectable choux pastries, cinnamon and jam donuts, fresh fruits and baguettes with jam condiments to pair I decided to setup my Nespresso Essenza Mini machine at the breakfast table so that my girls could each prepare their own favourite coffee: whether it be an espresso, cappuccino or long black everyone could be their own barista!

Some of my top tips on hosting a beautiful brunch at home:

Find a small spot at home - clear all necessary furniture to provide a small space. I found two wooden pallets and used them as tables.
Find some of your favourite centre pieces to decorate the table with. I used candles and Nespresso capsules
to add a pop of colour!
Head to your nearest grocer and find fresh fruits and pastries : plate these up on beautiful trays.
Add a Nespresso Essenza Mini : this is a great form of entertainment and allows guests to make their own coffee!
Lanterns, fairy lights, pillows and blankets make the space quite cosy - so ensure you have plentiful!

I love the concept of owning one machine with over 24 different coffees flavours to try! By popping in a little capsule and allowing the machine to do the work I was once told by a coffee connoisseur that a "good coffee should always have a crema. If your cup lacks the crema, or it doesn't appear to be of a fluffy and even consistency, this means that there is a problem with your coffee."

Achieving a good crema is a combination of bean quality and drip speed, among other factors. I guess it's extremely safe to say that this coffee is a perfect one to say the very least!
