I had the opportunity to visit the jewel of the Australian crown and what an absolutely incredible experience it was to say the very least. Although May is considered to be quite a chilly time of the year to travelling Australia, it is one of the best seasons to visit the Whitsundays. You will avoid the massive Summer crowds and cyclones.

The Whitsunday Islands are a group of 74 islands bordered by the Great Barrier Reef, located off the coast of Queensland. Tall palm trees, clear blue water, white sand and a soothing atmosphere, this place is no less than paradise.

We flew out on a Friday evening and stayed at the Whitsundays for four nights and five days. I managed to catch some of the most memorable pastel sunsets and crystal turquoise waters during my short stay. We also took the time to relish the beauty of the magical heart reef and sink our toes into the white silica sands of the famous Whitehaven Beach (regularly voted one of the world's best beaches) whilst exploring the breathtaking scenery of the Hill Inlet where a swirling fusion of blue ocean water and sand collide.

You'll seriously find every kind of beauty, adventure and luxury here in the Whitsundays, at the heart of the Great Barrier Reef! Once visited, the Whitsunday islands make you wish you could spend the rest of your life there.
