TOKYO Travel Diary : Hello 2017
I was lucky enough to end my 2016 on an absolute high! In December 2016 Keio Plaza Hotel opened their new Club Floor Lounge, Premier Grand, and I was kindly invited to share my experience during my one night stay in Tokyo.
Located in the heart of Shinjuku, five minute walk from the Shinjuku Train Station is this beautiful skyscraper hotel. Premier Grand is situated above the hustle and bustle of the city and offers sweeping views of the monochromatic Shinjuku skyline upon my arrival.
I was quickly escorted to check in and offered a small cup of warm tea and fresh hand towels by the hospitable staff. As I had been on a rather tight work schedule in Japan travelling from Hiroshima to Kyoto to Nara - I couldn’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of comfort and relief when looking over the spectacular city view of Tokyo below whilst sipping on my cup of warm tea in the spacious lounge.
The lounge is made up of an eclectic mix of furniture with a total of 22 different chairs! Breakfast is served at the new Club Floor and is available for restaurant reservations as well as meeting facility arrangements. The skyscraper hotel also has free Wi-Fi and 22 dining options too! The helpful staff, luxuriously furnished bedroom and abundance of facilities in the hotel honestly makes it very difficult to leave this gem. The beauty of the hotel is that you are also able to experience Japanese culture within the building if you are running on a tight schedule. As I was only in Tokyo for one night I had very little time to have a full Tokyo experience, I was fortunate enough to experience an intricate and traditional Japanese tea ceremony, Kaiseki dining experience and try on a beautiful kimono wedding robe without having to leave the hotel.

Premier Grand Stay
I honestly cannot fault my stay at this accommodating hotel and can say without a doubt in my mind that I will be back to stay in their Club Room Premier Grand Suite on my next visit! The service was professional and I feel lucky that I was able to immerse myself in Japanese culture too during my short stay in Tokyo.
I wasn't able to take advantage of the free shuttle to Tokyo Disney Resort from the hotel but for those of you who are Disney fanatics be sure to make the most of this service!
Thank you to the beautiful and warm staff at Keio Plaza Hotel for hosting me, truly looking forward to my next stay in 2017!

In an attempt to retain the grand, historic public rooms of the 1860s and 1920s - of which the Café Royal was famed for - these Grade II listed spaces have been carefully restored.
I had the pleasure of staying here for two nights - come and see my photo diary and what I got up to.
