Santorini in Spring
Most people tend to visit Santorini during the Summer however I opted to visit shortly after I turned 27 in October this year. I was told by locals that coming in October was the best decision as peak season had already passed and was coming to an end. I was surprised to find the streets of Oia so empty without being flocked by tourists and had what I can only describe as one of the most memorable experiences of my life to say the very least.
When it came to picking where to stay I did a fair amount of research and decided to go with Canaves Oia Epitome which I booked through Small Luxury Hotels of the World. This website is absolutely golden! They have multiple boutique hotels worldwide and I use it whenever I am travelling.
Canaves Oia Epitome was located right out of the main town of Oia, above the picturesque fishing town of Ammoudi. A picturesque location where I managed to catch every sunset and admired the vast view that came with every suite. Breakfast is complimentary and the hotel offers free shuttle transportation to and from Oia. I would catch the shuttle every evening to grab dinner in Oia - nothing quite beats a local Greek salad and fresh calamari!

Their modern take on hospitality rocketed the brand to new heights with international awards and top-tier media exposure for each property. In 2017 all common areas of the area were also renovated and a brand new infinity pool was added in both properties.
The 90 sqm Villa captivates you from the moment you checkin. Our room comprised of 2 spacious living rooms, a Master bedroom and a second bedroom with another King bed with a shower and separate bathtub. Our suite had the best view overlooking the Aegean Sea too!
