Magical Easter with Max
I hope you all had a relaxing Easter weekend! I could seriously get used to a four day weekend ;)
Working in media can get quite frantic and chaotic at times so it was nice to prioritise a bit of me-time this weekend. I slept in guilt free, hit up Netflix, cleaned the apartment, caught up on overdue TV series and met up with old friends for dinner and drinks.
I also decided to treat my girlfriends to Max Brenner's with some limited edition Easter desserts this long weekend. Most shops were closed over Easter break so I was happy to learn that this chocolate haven was open. This Easter, Max Brenner changed two traditional Easter treats into something a little more exciting! Have a look below.
We decided to try out the 'Not Cross Bun' which consisted of warm choc-chip spiced buns stuffed with vanilla ice cream served with a pot of pure melted chocolate and strawberries ($10.50)
We also got a side of the 'Max's Egg-Clairs.' This dish was made up of two white chocolate covered exlairs filled with vanilla crème nestled in a milk chocolate ganache and caramelised pecans. The ganache was the absolute highlight on this dish for me! ($11.00)
These beautiful desserts are available until the 3rd of April 2016! So make sure you try it out before it ends.
In an attempt to retain the grand, historic public rooms of the 1860s and 1920s - of which the Café Royal was famed for - these Grade II listed spaces have been carefully restored.
I had the pleasure of staying here for two nights - come and see my photo diary and what I got up to.
