The House of Dior: Seventy Years of Haute Couture
MÖET & CHANDON
I was lucky enough to have been invited down to Melbourne this year to shoot the Dior exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria by Moet & Chandon & MAXMEDIALAB. This incredible collaboration between the NGV and the House of Dior and includes an amazing display of more than 140 garments designed by Christian Dior Couture between 1947 and 2017.
After jet-setting from Hamilton island at midday to get to Melbourne just in time for the show - I was lucky enough to catch Nicole Kidman,Jesinta Franklin, Jessica Gomes, Elizabeth Olsen, Sarah Ellen & Fernanda Ly to name but a few ;)!
Highlights from the stunning exhibition include examples from Christian Dior’s iconic spring 1947 New Look collection, jaw-dropping displays of Dior’s signature ball gowns and evening dresses, as well as exquisite designs from the inaugural couture collection of the House’s first female head designer, Maria Grazia Chiuri.
What a fabulous night to have a been a part of. Go and check out the exhibition now: on for the next three weeks in Melbourne! You won't want to miss it. Check out my images from below with my partner in crime, Killian Pham! Video to come out soon.
In an attempt to retain the grand, historic public rooms of the 1860s and 1920s - of which the Café Royal was famed for - these Grade II listed spaces have been carefully restored.
I had the pleasure of staying here for two nights - come and see my photo diary and what I got up to.
