The Hermès Carré Club in Paris
What an incredible year it has been to say the very least! When my Hermès family approached me to enquire whether or not i’d be interested in visiting Paris to pay tribute to the Hermès Carré Club I couldn’t help but agree to it right away (who wouldn’t?). I’m so extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to fly with the team to France to capture some special moments of the Carré Club.
I always find myself having to pinch myself when these opportunities arise, as I know that they’ll be once-in-a-lifetime kind of experiences. Being a hundred percent present as well as being mindful of being present whilst opening my mind to new experiences is what I live for.
A special thank you to Karin, Catherine and Eric and the beautiful Hermès team for always thinking of me. It was an absolute honour to be here.

Check-in at the Bristol hotel!
Loved the spacious and elegant rooms which uniquely decorated and some feature Louis XV or Louis XVI style furniture. Big thank you to the generous team at Hermès for spoiling me!
Treatment time at the Bristol Hotel Spa with La Prairie!
After a long flight from Sydney - nothing beats having a luxurious skin pamper time at the Bristol Hotel! I always find my skin gets really dehydrated from my flights. I had a 60 minute facial with La Prairie which helped to keep my skin in tip top shape! If you have time i’d highly recommend booking yourself a little treatment here. The staff are very attentive to any skin troubles you might be worried about.

We had the privilege of visiting the Hermès Pan tin workshops and learnt about the fundamentals of the brand. As we were told that this was a top secret location and photographs weren’t allowed - I left my camera and home.
Luckily we were allowed to snap some images on our phones. So I feel lucky that i’m able to share a little glimpse inside the atelier! This was a life changing experience to see the products being made in person. Witnessing the dedication, meticulous sewing as well as attention to detail was mind blowing. It really made my appreciation for the craftsmanship increase drastically.
Learning how to do the Hermès stitch!
Dinner in a Secret Location
I was Pinching myself when we arrived at the Hermès store which had been transformed from what was once a public swimming pool. We discovered the largest metier of Hermès which will be revealed on the 5th of February 2020.

Arrival at Hermès Carré Club
The Hermès silk scarf - also known as the carré in French, has been a staple classic of the brand. Located under the glass roof of the Carreau du Temple, Hermès presents a multiform immersion in the world of silk. This vibrant exhibition plunges visitors into the imaginary world of creation and joyfully celebrates design in all its forms.
At the Carré Studio, the centrepiece of the event, visitors can meet our artists, watch them work in real time, and share in their passion. In Carré Stories, the scarf has many a tale to tell; at Carré Cut, collectors, enthusiasts and the simply curious can learn the art of scarf knotting; while others can watch skateboarders weave their magic on the Carré Park ramp. The Carré Café is the place to take a break, with live music and discussions on the theme of design; Carré OK invites visitors to sing along to some well-known tunes, while Carré Click captures the moment for posterity.
Exhibition open from the 29 November to 8 December 2019 12 noon to 8 pm open until 10 pm on Thursday and Friday evenings Le Carreau du Temple, 4 rue Eugène Spuller, Paris 3rd arrondissement.
In an attempt to retain the grand, historic public rooms of the 1860s and 1920s - of which the Café Royal was famed for - these Grade II listed spaces have been carefully restored.
I had the pleasure of staying here for two nights - come and see my photo diary and what I got up to.
