Pier One Sydney
TRAVEL
How is it that when we live in our own city that we often forget to fully explore and appreciate it? Having lived in Sydney for almost eight years now I was quite surprised to have discovered this beautiful hidden gem located right beside the majestic Sydney Harbour Bridge. Built on and over the water, Pier One Sydney celebrates the heritage of Australia at every opportunity.
Killian and I were greeted by two bubbly glasses of champagne upon our arrival. We checked into the Admiral Suite at Pier One Sydney and were left completely speechless as soon as we opened the door. The suite had a sweeping view of the Sydney Harbour and bridge, Luna Park and the Opera House. The bedroom, bathroom and living room all had floor-to-ceiling windows which allowed soft, winter light to pour in. After our intensive eight hour hike to Blue Lake last week (you can read more about our hike here) I was ready for a chilled weekend at this stellar boutique hotel. Who can say no to a hot bubble bath, movies in bed and in-room dining right?
I'm going to miss this little slice of heaven which is so well removed from the hustle and bustle of city life. I'll be back soon!

Checking Out
Loved the detailled message on the bottle after our check out!
In an attempt to retain the grand, historic public rooms of the 1860s and 1920s - of which the Café Royal was famed for - these Grade II listed spaces have been carefully restored.
I had the pleasure of staying here for two nights - come and see my photo diary and what I got up to.
